We are proud to announce our installation at Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital, a state-of-the-art Elekta radiotherapy center in South Korea!
Two IQM Detectors were recently integrated at two Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators.
This installation marks an exciting milestone — the first implementation of IQM with Elekta Versa HD systems in South Korea.
The medical physics team at Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital will initially use IQM for pre-treatment QA and machine QA, taking advantage of IQM’s unmatched precision and automation.
Minsoo Chun, Chief Medical Physicist, explained that
“The combination of Elekta Versa HD and the IQM System represents the first implementation of this kind in South Korea.
Using IQM for pre-treatment QA allows detailed analysis of every control point, improving QA sensitivity compared with conventional methods where cumulative dose distributions were compared and individual control point errors were smeared out.
This enhanced sensitivity ultimately contributes to safer and more accurate patient treatments.”
We are excited to see the Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital team lead the way in bringing next-generation quality assurance to South Korean radiotherapy.
