The National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases in Surquillo (Lima), Peru, better known as INEN, is the first Radiation Therapy Center in South America to use the unique clinical advantages of the IQM System. Click here for more information about INEN.
The Radiation Therapy Center at INEN operates 2 state-of-the-art Elekta Infinity and 2 Elekta Synergy Linear Accelerators with an Elekta Mosaiq network and an Elekta Monaco treatment planning system.
To ensure utmost flexibility, the physics team at INEN chose to equip all 4 linear accelerators with the complete IQM infrastructure.
This IQM multi-room support allows simple and efficient use of a single IQM Detector at every linear accelerator in the department. The user simply attaches the detector to the selected linear accelerator and everything else works fully automatically.

IQM multi-room support allows the clinical staff at INEN to use IQM efficiently for a wide variety of clinical tasks: for Fraction QA during the patient treatment, pre-treatment Plan QA as well as Machine QA at each of their 4 linear accelerators.
The IQM installation in December 2021 already deployed the latest IQM Software Version 1.8 that improved and extended the available commissioning parameters. These new parameters allow the clinical staff at INEN to verify even the most complex plans for a wider array of energies and treatment techniques, with unrivaled accuracy.
Single-lesion SRS plan verification for 97 fields resulted in an average cumulative signal deviation of 0.23%.
